A product is only awarded the UV STANDARD 801 label if the following criteria are met:
- The product protects against solar radiation similar to that found at the height of summer in Melbourne, Australia.
- The product is suitable for the relevant human skin type.
- The product meets all the UV STANDARD 801 requirements in both a new and a used condition (stretched, wet, mechanical wear and tear, laundering etc.).
